What is Weight Release?
I think the easiest way to describe the program is to start
with what Weight Release is not – it is NOT a weight
loss program. When you lose something that has served a valuable
purpose you MUST find it or replace it. Whether you know it
or not, your weight and/or your eating patterns have served
a valuable purpose.
Perhaps your weight has been protection from unwanted attention.
Maybe eating has been a way of coping with stress or anxiety.
Some people use food to manage or suppress emotions. Whatever
the reason – your behavior around food has served some
purpose. You have used food to meet some need.
95% of weight management programs DON’T work because
they fail to address the underlying cause of eating patterns.
THIS IS NOT A DIET PROGRAM. The Weight Release Program is
based on the Service to Self™ Process. This is a general
personal growth process that has been highly effective in
helping people release weight. The program has been adapted
and enhanced to address weight related issues specifically.
The Weight Release Program from Service to Self™
This is a compassionate program that promotes healing and
growth. As you examine your patterns of behavior around food,
you will recognize ways that you use food to meet needs. You
will begin exploring “self-honoring” alternatives
to meet those needs. You will start changing your food choices
as you view yourself and your experience differently. You
release weight as you learn to love, honor and accept yourself.
You will release weight as you learn to ask for what you want
and express yourself more authentically. You will design practices
(which ultimately become habits) that feel good and right
for you.
Your relationship with your body will change. From a self-honoring
perspective you will find fun and enjoyable forms of exercise
and movement that you will want to do for the rest of your
life.
This type of approach is the ONLY way to accomplish lifelong
weight release.
You will also find other aspects of your life changing
in positive ways. This program is based on a general personal
growth program. Focusing on yourself – becoming “self-centered”
(which is a good thing) will affect every other aspect of
your life (career, relationships, finances, etc.).
